A peek into our lives
My sons!
The fruit of my womb.
My reward! I am so blessed by all of you! You are all so beautifully amazing in your uniqueness that displays the glory of God!
God says to you, “I know the plans I have for you! “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Stand firm upon the Lord and His promises! He will NEVER leave you, nor forsake you!
I have been writing down my affirmations! I didn’t realize it, but I have affirmations that I speak to myself daily! I never called them that before, but it’s something I’ve been practicing in my “inner life” for decades. It’s the things I say to myself all the time. They are primarily based on the word of God, who He is, and who I am and what I do in light of it.
I am realizing that the success I have had in my life is due, in big part, to what I’ve done with my thoughts daily. It’s where I abide ALL the time. My thoughts are not allowed to misalign themselves with God and who He is. My thoughts must be true, they must be truth! I don’t lie to myself, or allow myself to think wrong thoughts. I hold myself accountable to God’s truth! ALWAYS! As you are in the midst of your own head daily, ask yourself, “is that true?” “Yes, that’s HOW I am feeling, but WHY?” That answer is where God’s truth MUST prevail! Then deal with the truth with consideration and compassion, but also require of yourself the hard work of discipline and diligence in cleaning it up.
Today’s affirmation I caught myself in! 😊🤩❤️
The Lord leads me.
He never leaves me.
I choose to align myself with Him daily and follow His steps.
As I acknowledge Him daily and submit my will to His, He has promised to work all things together for my good.
I can trust Him and believe Him.
In light of this fact, I am where I am because of His choosing and me aligning my will to His.
I can be at peace!

This was just me talking aloud to myself! It matters what I THINK and SAY, for it directs my steps! Even if I am not speaking it aloud, it is making a difference, a change in my sub-conscience. Ultimately, it will make a change in your entire life. I think that’s why my mother, Nana, was always telling me to be careful with what I say.
Isn’t it interesting how our thoughts impact our words, but our words impact our thoughts? They affect each other. Our thoughts can be born out of a word or words spoken give birth to thoughts. Be careful with your words and thought!
As I’ve often said to you “Applied knowledge is power”. How will you apply this insight I just shared with you? Get to work in bringing about great success in your life by applying this knowledge. I would be blessed by you letting me know how you have chosen to apply these things in your lives.
I encourage you to begin by “taking every thought captive”! What “wrong thinking” are you engaged in that’s bringing you down, discouraging you, or simply making you feel rotten about yourself or life in general? Identify what they are, write them down, then replace them with positive affirmations. Use the word of God to correct your thinking.
If you need additional help with this, let me know.
Love you so much!

A Note To You!
How about you, friend! I wrote that to my sons, but this can also be applied to your life. Where are your thoughts dwelling these days? Where are your thoughts abiding? Are they primarily hanging out in deep darkness, or even just the normal, everyday spaces of negative thinking? Before you can move forward you need to identify where you are so you can then address the issue at hand with the proper weapons of warfare.
For my sons these ideas are not new to them. Perhaps the way they are currently applying them, or the circumstance in which they find themselves might be different, but they understand the basic concepts and precepts. I don’t know if this is true for you. If you would like to further explore this idea of taking every thought captive and how to apply it in your life please feel free to reach out with your questions. I would be glad to help.
In Proverbs 4:23, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life”
